Völklingen Klein

This 321m² block of land fell under extreme building restrictions and therefore a construction solution for the planned 5 apartment complex needed to be consistent with these guidelines to achieve DA approval. The construction uses 2 identical slightly angled complexes joined in the middle by a strongly glass influenced and wholly enclosed entry way.

Each apartment complex features a tent styled tiled roof with 4 gabled windows, offering attic storage space with natural lighting.

Each apartment has polished floor boards of Beachwood, modern fittings and features of moderate price range. To provide a private outdoor area for each apartment, the upper levels received small balconies and the lower levels have their own terraces.

The buildings are finished with light grey plastering as exterior cladding, modern windows of alternating size that gives this complex a modern finish whilst complimenting the surrounding and older generation buildings.
