This family home renovation was commissioned to give a fresh and modern look to this typically German gable styled dwelling.
The front of the home was extended slightly to increase living floor space on the ground floor. Incorporated into this extension were 3 floor to ceiling thin and minimalist windows , placed in a calm symmetry.
A more open internal space in the gabled roof, gives the owners a greater choice for their bedrooms and maximises the area using the higher ceilings. The home is opened more to the garden and natural light using large windows. This is especially so in the kitchen which is long and thin, but a more spacious feeling has now been achieved.
The interiors are finished in a contemporary mood including cherry wood flooring and clean lines.
