Merzig - Mautes

A metal construction firm needed an extension for office space.

The piece of land on which this extension was commissioned, led the design team to the dynamic and unique building form. The angled land influenced the floor plan, façade and roof which is concluded in a de-structuralised design.

A strong presence of steel and aluminium is seen in the building as this is representative of the owners own business.

A further design principle was incorporated into this building...'form follows function', allowing clearly for the light flooded studio and lower level office space, visible from the outside in.
