Saarbrücken - Saar Gallery

Credit Swiss commissioned the architect to add additional business/retail space to the internal Atrium area of the Saar Gallery, an existing and major shopping centre in Saarbrücken.

A double story pavilion was designed and integrated into the centre. Using steel, cement and stainless steel construction materials to form the frame work for a large usage of glass, allows the pavilions to become one with the existing premises and add value to the property.

The pavilions are then linked via bridges to the existing outside business spaces and to allow cross over consumer transiting at 3 additional points within the centre. These pavilions bring vitality to the centre of this shopping space and create a gallery level caf area for a new business that will increase the ambience even further!

A feature that without a doubt is key to the design are stainless steel curtains, draped from top to bottom on alternate walls of the pavilions, with indirect lighting effects.
