Saarbrücken - Dekra

The requested profile of the DEKRA ETS development required office space, laboratory and testing centre.

A dominate design was created by the architects team to include as a single structure a 6 story complex featuring a 2 story entrance hall.

A 60 metre long wall forms the spine of the building separating the office and laboratory areas (3200m²) in a 4 story section orientated to the south from the 3 varied test centres oriented to the north.

The overall design and floor plan allows all 3 sections of this business to function seamlessly within the single structure. Exterior materials include concrete work stone cladding and corrugated aluminium sheeting. The office space features a curtain wall of steel and glass.

The testing centres incorporate sound proofing, and primarily feature concrete work stones. A 60 space car park is catered for in the underground garage that connects also to a large storage and archive space. A total of EURO7.5million was invested in developing this complex.
